Ryan Maeglin is a musician, composer, and educator based in New York City. He majored in instrumental music at the LaGuardia High School of the Performing Arts, and graduated Lewis and Clark College with B.A. in Jazz Guitar Performance in 2019.  During his studies, he found a deep passion for live performance and collaborative ensemble work that led him to perform all over the country as a member of an eclectic mix of bands including Ginger and the Snaps, By All Means, Tyre Pinlight’s Verde Bouquet, and the experimental jazz collective LDY BTTRFLY.  In addition, Ryan has collaborated extensively with solo artists, including Maddie Rae, Stanley Payne, Chrry, Gee Collins, Miranda Fayne, and Skinny Dippers. He is the lead guitarist of the NYC based rock band Jane Fonda Fan Club, currently in the process of recording their debut album scheduled for release Fall 2025.

Ryan specializes in a variety of genres including jazz, rock, funk, R&B, blues, fusion, bluegrass, and hip hop.  His inspirations range as far and wide as Jerry Garcia, Bill Frisell, D'Angelo, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Miles Davis, John Scofield, Hiatus Kaiyote, Trey Anastasio, Curtis Mayfield, and Derek Trucks.

When not playing guitar or writing music, Ryan can usually be found reading, hiking, cooking, or gardening.  He’s a big nature lover and finds much of his musical inspiration in the natural world.
